Wall Beside a Workshop Stove: Vitcas Board and Finish

Vitcas HT Fireboard for suitable protective surfaces

The wall near the workshop stove is assessed together with the device and the way the room is used. A garage or workshop may have different conditions than a residential room. Heat-resistant material alone does not determine the suitability of a stove in each such space.

Describe the room conditions

Check the device requirements regarding installation, flue, air supply, and environment. Mark the equipment and materials stored nearby. Do not choose the cover solely based on the distance that happens to be between the stove and the shelf.

In the cross-section, also show hidden wall layers. Requirements for wood or building insulation do not disappear after covering the surface. The product selection should occur after determining the proper solution for the location.

Check the role of the board and plaster

HT Fireboard has described protective and surface applications for heating devices. Its mounting and substrate must be selected according to the documentation. The sheet is not an automatic confirmation of the entire partition with arbitrary fire parameters.

Fireplace Render is used for specific layers on the wall, whereas Heat Resistant Plaster creates a smooth finish on the described substrates. Do not use these products interchangeably for every defect just because both are temperature-resistant plasters.

Keep access to controls

Fit the finish and check that it does not block necessary openings or device connections. Inspect corners, attachment points, and any signs of moisture. Loose substrate requires preparation before applying a new layer.

Record the completed section, products, and wet work timelines. Returning to use should consider the required preparation of all materials. When changing the way the workshop is used, return to the assessment of the stove surroundings rather than assuming that the existing lining covers every new condition.
